Festival vibes in the Mendocino redwood forest
Iris & Aidan chose to get married in the redwoods because they hold fond memories with their favorite people. Tucked along the northern stretch of Mendocino County, the Redwoods River Resort offered exactly what they were looking for – a place that spoke to childhood adventures in the California redwoods and created countless core memories for their friends and families. The weekend long celebration emphasized activities that celebrated the location – painted rocks from the river, hammocks hung between redwoods.
The whole resort became a guest experience. Hammock zones. Rock painting stations. Limerick trees. Quiet corners for reading. Loud ones for dancing. A thoughtful moment at every turn.
Summer Camp for Grown Ups
Come for the view of the Eel River Valley, stay for the adventures under the redwood canopy. The Redwoods River Resort is tucked far enough into Mendocino County to feel like you put in the work to get there yet close enough to the Bay Area that arrive around the time you’re tired of being in the car. Just ensure your guests make time for an unhurried drive and prepare them for winding roads. This is a gorgeous spot for couples who want to blend a relaxed camp/festival vibe with a custom guest experience.
A Gathering Place
The layout of the resort makes it easy to create a site wide vibe. With ceremony, reception and accommodations all in one location, guests relax rather than worry about getting to the next event. They nap in hammocks and wander between cabins. Redwoods River Resort feels like a summer camp for grownups. The experience is intimate and expansive all at once.
