Cozy Cabin Elopement in Northern California
Kameko & Dan’s Oyster Beach elopement was a happy convergence of circumstance and genius planning. The two had initially planned to say their vows in a redwood grove… but Humboldt winter storms made 101 into an obstacle course. Fortunately, they had the foresight to book a stay at Oyster Beach and held the ceremony in the living room while the rain provided accompaniment.
The rain subsided in time for a blustery portrait session on the beach and a little bit of puddle jumping. In case you were curious, I am adept at carrying three umbrellas and all of my gear at the same time. While 8 months pregnant. As this was the last wedding I shot before my son was born and dude definitely had news anchor hair on the ultrasounds, there were plenty of weather reports from Duck Donaldson.
