Back when Aaron was still my boyfriend - a.k.a. decades/eons/worlds and paleolithic eras ago since we are now parents - Patrick's Point State Park was the location of our very first vacation as a couple. You know, the "whelp, if we run out of things to talk about, there's always soup" vacation. Since we were living in Eugene at the time, I'm not exactly sure how I picked Patrick's Point other than it was a few hours away, in California and lots of people seemed to like it. Soooo when Becky e-mailed to say that Patrick's Point was the site of her first camping trip with Erik - and the location for their small wedding - I stopped just short of doing back flips. Fortunate because I'm more of a graceful belly flop than a back flip person.
My favorite weddings are the ones where the couple has fallen for a location almost as hard as they've fallen for each other. You can't pose that kind of emotion. I'm also extremely fond of couples who don't miss a beat when I haphazardly slip into chatting on as if they were 6 months old. Sleep deprivation has done a number on my conversational skills! Yes, Erik, you are a good eater.
