This is what happens when two Wu-Tang romantics fall in love. Gia and Adam mixed a handful of my favorite Humboldt elopement locations into their boutique celebration: Trinidad, Prairie Creek Redwoods and Luffenholtz Beach at sunset. My only regret is that they had to leave their dog RZA at home in Chicago. They were photobombed by a surfer dog during their last portrait session so you know at least he was there in spirit.
This elopement also wins the rad officiant category. Sorry folks, nobody can compete with a super stylish pregnant lady in a floral crown… in the Redwoods. Just. Can’t. Gia and Adam embodied the belief that your wedding day should be about you. Not about traditions that somebody cooked up to ward off evil spirits, bridal kidnapping or Martha Stewart. Even though your Uncle Ted definitely has opinions. One major takeaway, however: make sure your iPhone isn’t on hyper-lapse if you set it up to record your ceremony.
And if you don’t quite get your fill here, check out their elopement feature on Rock n Roll Bride.
